Holy Spirit−A Geisinger Affiliate opens orthopaedic surgery practice in Harrisburg

CAMP HILL, Pa. – Holy Spirit−A Geisinger Affiliate opened its first orthopaedic surgery practice today in Harrisburg. Subspecialty shoulder and elbow care, as well as general orthopaedic services, including sports injuries, upper extremity nerve disorders, broken bones, shoulder and elbow surgeries and joint replacements, will be provided for adults and children.

Holy Spirit Orthopaedic Surgery is located in the Holy Spirit Colonial Park Center, 4230 Crums Mill Road, Harrisburg. It is conveniently located with Holy Spirit Family Medicine−Colonial Park and Holy Spirit Pediatrics−Colonial Park.

Damian M. Rispoli, M.D., is the director of Holy Spirit Orthopaedics and the lead surgeon at the new orthopaedic surgery practice in Colonial Park. Board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Rispoli brings more than 15 years of experience as an orthopaedic surgeon and leader, including two years in general practice, five years as a general orthopaedist and 10 years as a sub-specialty trained orthopaedist. Most recently, Dr. Rispoli served WellSpan Health as chief of shoulder and elbow surgery.

A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Dr. Rispoli completed an internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He also completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at The Mayo Clinic, Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Rispoli’s clinical focus and expertise are reconstructive and reparative surgery of the shoulder and elbow with an emphasis on primary and revision joint replacement, arthroscopy and fracture surgery.
